A standard only becomes infrastructure when someone builds the machinery around it.

The Culture Finance Standard defines what cultural value creation is and how it should be assessed. The Gallery is where the framework is applied — a working platform connecting cultural organisations seeking funding with allocators seeking verified cultural impact.

The Standard rests on four interdependent components
I.
Six Cultural Impact Areas (C-Domains)
Participation & access, livelihoods & creative economies, place & heritage, social cohesion & peacebuilding, cognitive environment, and climate-linked cultural resilience.
II.
Shades of Impact
A non-binary classification across Depth, Breadth, and Duration — Symbolic, Incremental, Structural, Transformative. Purely symbolic activity does not qualify.
III.
Safeguards & Integrity
Exclusion criteria covering displacement, extraction, elite capture, cognitive harm, and instrumentalisation. Safeguards override all other assessment.
IV.
Attribution & Reporting Discipline
A contribution-based approach rejecting over-claiming. Outcomes are stated as contributions to complex systems, not singular causal claims.
For Cultural Operators
I.
Submit
A structured submission against the Standard — no specialist knowledge required. Listing is free for all cultural organisations.
II.
Assess
Independent evaluation across Depth, Breadth, and Duration; safeguard verification across all seven gates.
III.
Record
On approval, a Cultural Contribution Unit (CCU) is generated and bound to the project's verified profile.
IV.
List
The project becomes visible in The Gallery, discoverable by allocators worldwide.
For Allocators & Funders
I.
Discover
Browse and filter by C-Domain, Shade of Impact, or geography — every listing safeguard-verified.
II.
Review
Each project shows its full impact profile: dimension assessment, domain alignment, contribution claims.
III.
Fund
On contribution confirmation, the CCU is logged to the funder's Impact Record — an auditable attestation.
IV.
Report
The Impact Record generates disclosures aligned with CSRD, SFDR, and sustainable finance frameworks.
Integrity Infrastructure
A registry, not a speculation engine. CCUs are integrity units — not financial instruments. No financial return, non-transferable, not resellable.
Instrument-Neutral
Compatible with grants, loans, equity, blended finance, and corporate sponsorship. The Gallery layers over existing capital flows.
Audit-Ready by Design
Every listing, assessment, and contribution is logged. Reporting outputs align with CSRD and SFDR expectations without duplication.
